Just a day after forwarding lawyer Miguna Miguna's name for vetting as deputy governor, City Hall boss Mike Sonko has created a new position on advisory by County Public Service Board.
Despite the controversy, Sonko mauntained on Thursday that he will not withdraw Miguna's name despite him declining that he was not consulted.
"Miguna is my choice and I won't withdraw the name. Let it be kicked out in the assembly," he said.
While he dismissed claims that he is under siege from State House, Sonko however, refused to absolve Interior Cabinet Secretary Karanja Kibicho from his unending troubles.
And in the new appointment, Sonko has directed County Secretary Peter Kariuki to create office for EALA MP Simon Mbugua, who is set to serve as Chief Secretary or Prime CeC.
"I hereby appoint Simon Mbugua as chief secretary and he will be coordinating all departments besides ensuring implementation," read the letter.
The position will be equivalent to super county minister to whom all CeCs will be reporting to.
Early this week, Mbugua was arraigned in court for allegedly spearheading a dangerous gang that "protects" Sonko's administration from critics.
In fact, Mbugua accused Kibicho of twarting his planned press conference this week.
