[Photo/The Star]Nairobi Senator and gubernatorial hopeful Mike Sonko has called on the Kisii community living in the County to back his bid during the upcoming general elections.Speaking on Wednesday at Ufungamano Hall where a section of the community's leaders endorsed his candidature, the lawmaker vowed to take care of the community's interests in the city which include matatu and real estate."Kisii poured its vote for me and I emerged top to become Makadara MP. Surprisingly, I did beat ODM candidate whose party had rejected me," he said."I will continue working with you because I have a history with you," he added.He further took a swipe at the incumbent governor Evans Kidero, accusing him of neglecting the community despite overwhelmingly voting for him in 2013."I will not close doors for anyone. I will give you positions of county executive, chief officer and many other positions after agreement with your leaders," he noted.
