Political supremacy wrangles between Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua and Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko have been narrowed down to minor issues like signposts.
According to Citizen Digital, it is alleged that Machakos County askaris demolished Sonko’s home signposts along Mombasa Road under the directive of the county boss, Mutua.
The incident has sparked confrontation between the supporters of the two mushrooming Kamba political front-men.
Residents said the demolishers had Machakos County vehicle. This comes after the outspoken regional politicians differed.
However, most locals praised Sonko’s aid. They pointed out water projects, unifying Machakos and Nairobi MCAs as well as electrification initiatives as some of the notable impact of Senator Sonko.
Governor Mutua has not responded to the claims that he ordered the demolitions as a show of might.
