He has accused Governor Evans Kidero of failing to collect garbage within the CBD and villages.

Sonko said that the CBD environment has turned to be dirty.

He said that Governor Kidero has not given directives to the ministry of environment in his government to act accordingly.

"These days walking in CBD, you will find dirty water stagnant in blocked drainage. I wonder whether Kidero sees such or he has assumed that Nairobians are saved. In water drainage patterns, there are broken bottles and plastic materials thrown inside and the county has done nothing to improve," he said.

He noted that most living premises such as Kibera, Kangemi, Kawangware lack rubbish bins and residents have thrown garbage all over the grounds.

"Visit places such as Kibera and Kangemi. The state of the environment to our people is poor. I urge Kidero to visit the slums and see how the environment of his people is," he said.
