Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko has turned to the Lord for divine intervention as he seeks to clinch the Jubilee ticket in the forthcoming general polls.
The Senator, who is known for his flamboyant lifestyle, took to social media to ask God to give him the energy and courage to fight for the seat when that time comes.
''Anyone with a valid ID will be allowed to vote. Heavenly Father in the mighty name of Jesus I put this big day before you. May Your Will prevail,'' Sonko posted.
Sonko is set to lock horns with different candidates including Former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth in one of the most watched races in the political arena.
The legislator has affirmed that he is the right man to succeed incumbent Dr Evans Kidero after the August General polls.
The senator has been launching attack after attack against the governor for failing to keep the promises he made before he rose to power.
Sonko, however, will have an uphill task to beat Kenneth during nominations. On his part, Kidero has remained upbeat before the nominations.
