Nairobi County Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has expressed his compassion to the families who were affected during the post-election period. The Governor said he will offer each of the families who lost their loved ones during the post-election chaos Shs. 100,000 to cater for funeral services. Sonko said this will apply to every family countrywide irrespective of the political parties they are affiliated to or religion. "To the families who lost their loved ones across the country, I have pledged a personal contribution of Sh 100,000," read part of the statement. Sonko added that his government will work in accordance with law and not on a tribal basis. He said he will offer services to Nairobians irrespective of their tribes. To those who lost their property in the Kawangware looting and inferno, Sonko offered a million shillings which he said was for the regeneration of the dead businesses."I donated One Million through a Media Max Ltd initiative to help those whose businesses were looted and burnt down," Sonko added.
