Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has affirmed that he is ready to work with the government for prosperity of the county.
Speaking on Sunday, Sonko stated that he will work with State House to ensure Nairobi is safe and the rights of all Kenyans are safeguarded.
In what appeared to be a jab towards the opposition NASA, Sonko stated that he will not allow rights of people to be violated.
This is after NASA protesters engaged police in running battles on a number of ocassions leading to destruction of property.
"A few people should not be allowed to violate the rights of others. We have witnessed women being stubbed, property looted and others destroyed. We will not allow this to continue,” Governor Sonko said.
He was speaking during a church service in Huruma that was attended by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto.
