According to the singer, Sonko still has what it takes to transform the county.

He took to social media and expressed his concern over the leaders calling for the impeachment of the governor after he appointed self-proclaimed National Resistance Movement Leader Miguna Miguna as his deputy governor.

The artist noted that the governor has the ability to deal with corruption cartels if he is accorded the support he deserves.

“I wish Nairobi would give him a chance. All the corrupt contracts have to be stopped in favor of more competitive ones. We suffer now, for better services in future. Maybe this sacrifice is what is needed to genuinely drain the swamp. Just my take,” said the singer in one his posts.

The appointment of Miguna has continued to elicit mixed reactions from different factions. According to Jubilee top brass, Sonko has created room for his impeachment. The leaders have been accusing the governor of betrayal.

“Sonko is forestalling his impeachment which has nothing to do with the DG’s position but his administration’s dismal performance. He is covering up his mistakes by trying to divert attention. His nomination of Miguna is of no significance. The impeachment will proceed and it has to do with failures to deliver services to the people as was pledged by the party during campaigns. He can throw tantrums but they will have no consequence. We want action and not talking lies,” read part of the statement from the Jubilee side.
