Nairobi Senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko has admitted that since he earned a university degree his behaviour had drastically changed.

In an exclusive interview with Radio Citizen on Sunday, the flamboyant lawmaker observed that the degree had prepared him adequately for the city's top job.

Sonko is seeking to unseat governor Evans Kidero on a Jubilee Party ticket.

“So many things happened in the past when I was serving as MP, not Senator. But now I have grown up. I have gone to school and one of the things I studied is ‘governance and ethics” he stated.

He earned the degree two years ago from the Kenya Methodist University (KeMu) after successfully completing his Business Administration undergraduate.

He has since picked former Vevo energy boss Polycarp Igathe as his preferred running mate.
