Nairobi senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko, has registered his rescue team as a non profit organisation, after launching it in January 2015.
The team offers free ambulance services, wedding transport and other emergency response to Nairobi residents and in other parts of the country.
The registration was certified by NGO's coordination Board executive director, Fazul Mohamed, on 4th May in line with the NGOs Act, section 10.
Most critics have dismissed the senator's initiative, but the senator has responded to his critics saying that he is only interested in helping the people.
Previously, the team conducted a free medical camp when the doctors were on strike.
