Nairobi Senator and gubernatorial aspirant Mike Mbuvi Sonko has responded for the first time after the fiery interview he had on CItizien TV on Sunday night.

The remarks by Sonko made him the most trending topic on social media platforms and he is still popular on twitter currently under the hashtag #SonkovsUthamaki.

He, however, said he has no apologies for his rival Peter Kenneth who was the major subject in his remarks.

"If I upset you during my interview yesterday, I am sorry. I was angry because my opponents called me a hooligan in public and others even called me a dog in church," Sonko posted on his Facebook page.

Sonko, however, did not apologise to the Albino community in Kenya after he called Peter Kenneth Albino owing to his light skin.

In the Sunday heated debate, Sonko declared that he cannot step down for Peter Kenneth until he apologises publicly for standing against President Uhuru Kenyatta in the 2013 polls.
