Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has revenue collection improved since he took over.

According to Sonko, daily revenue collection from Sh7 million to Sh38.2 million.

The county boss said this was after he stormed the cash office at City Hall and found an unbanked Sh7 million.

"I am happy to say that after raiding the cash office and instructed that people pay revenue directly to the bank, collections have improved," Sonko said.

He added that there are 14 revenue streams out of over 136.

Sonko said that his priority is to ensure the county revenue is used to deliver services to the people of Nairobi.

"I am warning the motorists who do not pay the parking fee that their vehicles will be impounded."

The governor asked residents to use the e-JijiPay service or online payment system.
