Senator Gideon Mbuvi alias Mike Sonko has issued that his pothole fixing machine is headed to Kibera to fix the impassable roads in the slums.
While reacting to the criticisms that he should have started the pothole repairs from the city's worst roads, Sonko through his Facebook page posted that even roads in Runda, his residential estate, had the same shortcomings just like other areas in the city.
“I fully understand that some people are already wondering about my submission to launch this new fixing machine here in Runda estate. We chose Runda simply because the area is free from traffic, less congested and also because it also has its unique challenges just like other areas,” read the Saturday post.
And while confirming the state of the machine and how it works, the senator affirmed that the pothole fixer machine was in a wonderful condition to sort out the repairs.
“It is really a very powerful fixing machine. It will really help us out,’’ he said.
He, however, noted that the initiative is headed to other areas with Kibera being his next station.
"But we are soon going to move to various estates like Kibera as soon as we finalise on the exchange of ideas with the relevant authorities within the county government,” he added.
