Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has spoken in public for the first time since the resignation of his deputy Polycarp Igathe.

He was speaking in Nairobi during the official opening of the Nairobi City county water and sanitation policy bill.

The governor however remained mum on issues politics and did not comment on the resignation of Igathe.
