Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has been sued.

The governor was taken to court by eight former board members of the Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company over alleged unlawful suspension.

The eight include Raphael Nzomo, Kennedy Omoke, John Wanyama, Rosemary Khamati, Lawrence Ouma, Joanne Mwangi, Mercy Mutua and Samuel Ojanga

They received their suspension letters on September 27 following allegations of misconduct at the NCWSC board.

But they have now sued the governor saying the reason why they were shown the door is not clear to them.

They seek orders stopping NCWSC and county government officials from harassing them.
