Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has extended his road works to the 'Far East' of Nairobi.
This weekend, the governor took the road repair operation to Embakasi where he said his interest was to see smooth roads without potholes.
He asked stakeholders to join hands beyond divisive politics and ensure the project becomes a success.
"Ongoing road repairs in Embakasi East Constituency. Let us rise above partisan interests and embrace national interests," he said.
Sonko revealed that unlike in the past, his government has purchased adequate equipment to help eradicate potholes that have been among the leading causes of road accidents in the city.
"Nairobi City County has acquired the giant pothole patching machines which take just three minutes to fill a pothole and come with a warranty of 10 years!#TwendeKazi," he added.
