Nairobi governor-elect Mike Sonko has said he is planning to contract over 1,000 city youths to remove posters of candidates who vied in the just-concluded general elections.
He said this was in an effort to clean the city of the remnants of campaign papers and other litter.
The youths employed will be together with the members of the Sonko Rescue Team
Sonko said the youths will also paint the city with a new coat as he awaits setting up a team to manage Nairobi in the coming five years.
Sonko's deputy is former Vivo Energy MD Polycarp Igathe.
