Plans are underway to make Nairobi a beautiful scenery to behold.
This is according to county governor Mike Sonko.
Sonko has revealed that the project will see all major areas in the CBD beautified as road workers construct adequate traffic barriers to prevent accidents.
"As we try our level best to keep Nairobi County a clean city, we're also in the process of launching massive beautification programmes in all areas within CBD," Sonko said.
"I have directed my officials to work closely and erect metal bars so as to minimise accidents and keep the city clean," he added.
The governor has however attracted huge criticism in the recent days with Nairobians accusing him of talking too much and doing very little on the ground.
Residents said the situation in the estates was pathetic and that the CBD had become unbearable due to the huge security threat posed by muggers.
He has since vowed to end crime in the town centre and other areas.
