While Sonko is cautious not to directly drag President Uhuru Kenyatta's name, he has however accused powerful PS Karanja Kibicho of his predicament.

"I have no problem with the president but I am not happy with certain people in his office," he said in reference to Office of the President.

Last weekend, an agitated Uhuru pointed failures to Sonko's garbage collection management and has since directed KDF to take over.

And in an interview, Sonko put a spirited fight insisting that he won't bow to pressure from State House.

"My nominee is Miguna and I won't withdraw the letter. He anti-cartels and he will help me deal with them.

" If you think I can kneel before you then you are wrong. Let Miguna's name fall in the Assembly," Sonko warned Office of the President.

On Thursday, Miguna Miguna who remains stranded in Canada after his second deportation insisted that Sonko has never reached him thus terminating his appointment as 'propaganda and destruction'.

A video circulating on social media shows unimpressed Sonko snubbing Uhuru's handshake at Nakuru, another indication that the two have since fallen out.

Sonko believes Uhuru is working with 'cartels' to undermine him.
