Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has said that he has no personal difference with Environment CS Keriako Tobiko.
This follows a Saturday incident where Sonko accused Tobiko of ignoring him during the launch of the National Tree Planting Day.
The public spat was witnessed by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto.
He protested loudly after Tobiko skipped him in the speeches and instead invited Deputy President William Ruto to speak at the event.
During a press briefing on Tuesday, Sonko and Tobiko shook hands stating that they had no personal difference.
"I have no personal differences with Tobiko. My brother and I have no issues. What happened was not Tobiko's fault. I know those undermining me." Sonko said.
Sonko said that Tobiko was not to blame for not following protocol.
"Only one person wants to destroy my image. But I have forgiven him.," said Sonko.
Tobikosaid that he has bad intentions towards Sonko.
"I have nothing personal with Sonko. Any difference of opinion is nothing personal. We have agreed to work as a team." Tobiko said.
