Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has met and held talks with Jubilee Secretary General Raphael Tuju at the governor's Nairobi offices.

Speaking through his Facebook page, Sonko said that they came together to discuss ways of strengthening the party at the grassroots.

"Today our Jubilee Secretary General paid me a courtesy call in my office. We discussed ways of strengthening our party in the grassroots," he said.

In the recent days, the governor has been meeting leaders in what has been seen as an effort to consolidate support as he takes on the tough mandate of reforming the city county.

Last week, he also met former presidential candidate Ekuru Aukot in a meeting he said was aimed at discussing matters of development.
