The governor said his government was making efforts to construct and upgrade train stations in the city and its outskirts.
"They are not affected by traffic jams either. My county government is currently in the process of completing the construction and upgrading of train stations around the outskirts of Nairobi, and therefore it'll be easy for people to book and ride from their neighborhoods to town. Let's embrace the train," he added.
The problem of traffic jams has been at the centre on chief hurdles of life in the city.
Sometimes it takes more then three hours for people to commute from their residences to their offices in town.
