Nairobi Senator Gideon Mbuvi alias Mike Sonko on Tuesday, September 27 toured Machakos County Assembly.

It is not clear what the purpose of the visit was but Sonko met the Assembly Speaker Hon Bernand Munga'ta and later talked to Members of the County Assembly.

In the past, it has been rumored that Sonko will be contesting for the Machakos gubernatorial seat in 2017, something that he had personally denied and vowed to support the current governor Dr. Alfred Mutua.

Sonko will be contesting for the Nairobi Gubernatorial seat which has attracted over 5 aspirants from the Jubilee coalition with Sonko coming out as the front runner according to recent opinion polls.
