Senator Mike Mbuvi alias Sonko has revealed that he is planning to introduce a bill that will change the lives of young girls in the nation.  

According to the flamboyant and outspoken senator, the bill was promoted by the increased complains among Kenyan parents that most young girls cannot afford sanitary pad whereas condoms are being dispensed freely in different parts of the nation. 

In his post on Facebook, Sonko acknowledged the various complaints made by different people on under the mantra Condoms should be for SALE, sanitary pads should be for FREE. 

Sex is a choice, menstruation is not. The Nairobi Senator, who is looking forward to lock horns with incumbent governor Evans Kidero in the next general elections added that he has been working on a bill that will see condoms sold on a willing buyer-willing seller basis while condoms are provided at no cost.

However, all did not go well with his post after a section of his followed attacked him for the bill alleging that condoms were equally important. 

Most of his followers recommended that he works on a bill that will lead to the provision of both condoms and sanitary pads freely. If Sonko’s post is anything to go by, Kenyan girls will have more reasons to smile about.
