Nairobi governor Mike Sonko can now breathe a sigh of relief after a court rejected an application by two petitioners for admission of more affidavits and access to Kiems kits.It was the judge's contention that the petitioners, Japhet Muroko and Zacheaus Oliech, did provide compelling grounds in their application.“The petitioners have cited irregularities in the forms that were used in the election. However, I find no jurisdiction for granting the prayers,” Judge Mbogholi-Msagha said according to a story by the People Daily.Governor Sonko and the IEBC opposed the application on the grounds that it amounted to amending the petition.Mr. Muroko and Mr. Oliech are seeking the annulment of Sonko's August 8 win on the grounds that it was not conducted in accordance with the dictates of the constitution.
