On Tuesday Decemeber 20, a lady he has been financing since she was a child graduated with a first class honors degree from Technical University of Kenya (TUK) in Nairobi.

Carolyne Munene Wanjiru, who was pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Tourism Management, defied all odds to make the senator proud as we approach the end of the year.

Sonko adopted Ms Wanjiru at a tender age following the death of her father. Sonko could not hide his excitement after attending her graduation.

He took to social media to share his joy.

“Today (Tuesday, December 20) is yet another memorable day for me and my family as I attended the graduation ceremony of my other daughter, Carolyne Munene Wanjiru from Imara Daima, Nairobi County who graduated with Bachelors of Science Degree (Tourism Management); First Class honours at the Technical University of Kenya,” Sonko wrote on social media, as quoted by eDaily.

He added. “I have been playing the role of a guardian to Caro since she was a young girl after she lost her dad. Thanks to the Almighty God for seeing her through successful completion of her university education.

“Kindly join me in Congratulating Caro, the entire Sonko family is proud of you, cheers!”

This comes a few weeks after he awarded a terror survivor Sh 399,000 for excelling in KCPE.
