Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko has for the first time spoken about his daughter’s breakup with her ex-boyfriend Benson Gatu.
Addressing members of the press, Sonko expressed his undying love for his daughter, adding that he will always be there for her whenever she needs him.
The senator, who is known for his high sense of fashion and charity, expressed his joy after her daughter delivered a bouncing baby girl.
A few weeks ago, Saumu came out accusing the media of spreading false information about her, adding that she will take a stern action against rumor mongers.
The Senator’s daughter also accused her ex-boyfriend of cheating on her.
Sonko said that Saumu was chased away by her boyfriend and as a father, she welcomed her back to their home.
“My daughter had a problem with the fiance… boyfriend. I love my daughter. She was chased by the husband… I welcomed her back into my home. She’s my daughter, I love her… she’s my blood. I cannot chase her away because she had a disagreement with her boyfriend. She gave birth… she’s coming back home… and I love her… I love the daughter Zaha… I have no problem with my daughter…” Sonko said in part, as Ghafla quoted him.
