With the menace of floods dogging the city since the return of rains, authorities in Nairobi have been under pressure to deliver so as to stop adversaries that come along.
Already areas like Kibera have been on the spot for experiencing most floods owing to the poor drainage systems available.
In a statement, Nairobi governor Mike Sonko's government has pledged to move in quickly and prevent floods from wrecking more havoc to Nairobians.
Through ICT Executive Commitee Menber Emma Muthoni, the government apologised for the loses already suffered and said they have put in place efforts to prevent further loses.

NAIROBI City County Government takes this early opportunity to apologize to the people of Nairobi who have been affected by this week’s heavy rains.
All efforts are being made to unblock all the drainage systems within the county.
Already county engineers and officers from Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company are working overtime to ensure our citizens are safe and transport system goes uninterrupted.
Upon assuming office, His Excellency the Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko launched a disaster management team and 17 firefighters and ambulances were deployed to all the sub-counties including Gikomba market.
Today, we are gathered here to launch 20 HOTLINES to be manned by a team of experts on a 24-hr basis.
Nairobi residents are encouraged to call and report any kind of floods related emergencies for quick action by the Disaster Management Team.
