Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has urged county residents to use train within the city to help curb the ever-rising city traffic.

Sonko vouched for the commuter train service saying it is fast, timely and comfortable.

"Train rides are timely and not in any way affected by traffic," said Sonko.

He revealed that the county government is in the process of completing the construction and upgrading of train stations on the outskirts of Nairobi.

Sonko stated that this will make it easy for people to book and ride from their neighborhoods to town.
