It has now emerged that Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko has allegedly received a sweet offer from the National Super Alliance through the Wiper Democratic Party.
On Tuesday, Citizen TV reported that well-placed sources revealed that talks had been held between the senator and officials of the Wiper
It is alleged that the party offered Sonko a direct ticket to vie for the Machakos Governor’s seat in the upcoming August polls.
According to the sources, the offers could have been triggered by an anticipated fall-out between Sonko and the Jubilee party after the Senator claimed there were plans to lock him out of the Nairobi gubernatorial race.
Sonko’s hardline stance against fellow governorship hopeful, Peter Kenneth, has lowered the chances of a Jubilee Party win in Nairobi.
Nonetheless, Sonko insists that he will be in the Nairobi Governorship race.
