Nairobi governor Mike Sonko is a happy man after adding another year to his age.
In a birthday message posted on his Facebook page, the governor said he dedicated the new year to the community and vowed to continue working to serve the less privileged of society.
Here is his speech:
As I celebrate my life this year I have decided to be a gift to the following testimonies among many countless lives we have trying to rescue through God's miracles.
In the free gift of life you cannot strive to make a difference in another persons life, especially someone who can never repay you back?
I thank God for the gift of life, his steadfast love and protection, his made me perform miracles through his will and on this special day, he has made me rescue many patients when many had proclaimed death.
As a way of thanking Him in a big way I met medical bills of the following patients: Mariam Abdhalla who was successfully operated for the second time at a Nairobi hospital after she complained of pain and growth of complicated conditions.
Also Baby Kyla who was successfully operated last week in India and her sight on one eye got restored. She is set to go for her second eye surgery of which I'm as well sponsoring.
I'm also catering for fresh eye transplant of Baby Scandly Chelagat whom we also sponsored for a cancerous tumour to be removed from her eyes 2 years ago.
I am also following closely case of Arlean Kerubo who is a 6-year-old girl from Dohnholm, supposed to undergo heart surgery in India on 24th this Month.
My happiness shall be to see people in good health by ensuring they get the right medical attention. However plans are underway to ensure we procure for all the important medical equipment needed for all these specialized surgeries and treatments.
