The Trade Union Congress of Kenya (TUC-K) has raised its voice, in support for the ongoing dons' strike.
Secretary general Wilson Sossion said the Congress fully supports the lecturers and university staffs' strike, that kicked off almost a month now.
According to him, the government was trying to weaken trade unions, a move they will not accept.
“Our observation is that there has been a systematic desire from the other side to undermine the Trade Unions. We are telling the lecturers and the staff members of KUSU and Uasu, don’t give up even if you strike forever,'' the Knut secretary general said.
He asked them to continue with their strike, until government addresses their plight, by implementing the salary increment agreement.
Sossion addressed the press TUC-K offiices, Nairobi, Thursday.
Lecturers have been on strike, paralysing learning operations in public universities countrywide.
