Kenya National Union of Teachers (Knut) secretary general has lashed out at Cord principals over their weekly anti-IEBC protests.
Wilson Sossion, termed the demonstrations as counter-productive, disruptive and useless.
"The demonstrations have interrupted the school calender. They have disrupted the smooth learning process of pupils. I urge the opposition brigade to stop the demonstrations immediately,” said Sossion.
"Their move to protest every week and now two days a week is short sighted, uncalled for and unwarranted. The leadership of Cord should use other peaceful avenues to solve the IEBC stand off,” added Sossion.
Speaking on telephone with news24, the secretary general said the protests had taken a nasty angle as they have resulted to deaths, destruction of property, and injuries.
He cited an incident where a four-year-old boy was shot during Monday's protests in Kisumu.
