In an exclusive interview with the vice chancellor of the institution Stanley Waudo, he said that the university has already invited Sossion, and he also has confirmed his presence.

Waudo said that most of the students they have in the school based sessions, are in the education departments and thus they always like inviting someone from the education sector to address them.

“We have a lot of students from the education department and most of them are teachers and we like inviting someone from the education sector to talk to them. We decided to invite Sossion, especially this time that KNUT have announced a strike in January, and we as a university have no say about the strike but we can let the teachers talk their affairs and come into a consensus whether to go on strike or not,” explained Waudo.

Waudo said that he does not support strikes as part of airing grievances, but said if the teacher would find alternative ways other than downing their tools, it would be a bit better.

He went on to say that the Imara Daima session was moving smoothly, and students going on with the curriculum as usual.
