According to Mr. Sosion, TSC has been for a long time claiming to be strapped under constraints of funds instead of engaging in the recruitment of teachers.

"They can not hide under the excuse of lack of money. If they have been given the mandate to recruit, recruit as you demand for resources from the Treasury," said Mr. Sosion.

Speaking during an interview with KTN news, Mr. Sosion urged TSC to push for recruitment of more teachers and shun those activities that do not help the teaching service.

"TSC has to push and it must be seen to be pushing on focusing on recruitment of teachers rather than directing energy in engaging in activities that do not help the teaching service like delocalization and other policies that are not helpful," he added.

He further asked the body to pressure the government for more teachers every time they meet with them as lamentations during summons are not helping anything but are mere excuses.

"The priority of TSC should be knocking on the doors of the government every minute every time and asking for teachers but not to come and lament in committees when they are summoned. It must move ahead of everywhere and it must be seen as a priority," concluded Mr. Sosion.
