Kenya National Union of Teachers (Knut) Secretary General Wilson Sossion has asked the government to close a number of private schools operating ‘unethically’.

Prime on Sossion’s list are the Bridge International Schools (BIA) which he castigated for using untrained teachers who did not apply the profession’s code of conduct.

He criticised the BOA schools for offering low quality of education and asked the government to close down all the 405 branches operating in Kenya.

"They should not be allowed to exploit children from poor households," said Sossion.
