The 40th edition of the annual Koth Biro tournament came to a close on Sunday with a team from South B winning their maiden cup at the Ziwani grounds in Nairobi.
South B FC Combined overcome all odds to beat Huruma's GAA by a goal to nil in a pulsating game that saw some of the top Kenya premier league stars playing a part to the victory.
South B fielded outgoing Gor Mahia captain Musa Mohamed, Harun Shakava and Anthony Akumu from Zesco United of Zambia. Patrick Oboya made a show later in the second half.
It was in the 57th minute that the game took a turn after a lively Patrick Mugambi scored the opening goal after changing his role from flanks to center forward.
The game attracted politicians, and celebrities drawn from the media world to human rights activists who have connections with South B estate.
The team took home Sh300,000 and a trophy in the tournament that was also sponsored by betting gurus SportPesa.
