South Mugirango residents at Ndonyo area up have protested agaisnt the imposition of 'foregn' voter registration clerks on them by the Independent Elections and Boundaries Commission, IEBC.
Consequently, the have have vowed to stop taking voter cards till they get commission recruits new clerks from their region who would serve them.
Group leaders Aatos Mogoi and Raphael Omuga claimed the exercise had been politicized to serve certain political interests of some leaders from the sub-county.
They cited Otendo polling center where they claimed that all registration clerks posted there were from the neighbouring region.
"We also have qualified sons and daughters who could had taken the job as well," Mr Mogoi said.
"We see this as a technique to import voters in favour of a certain politician and this must stop," he observed.
He said they will no longer cooperate with the Commission till they conduct changes as requested.
