Johanna Ng’eno says he is confident that opposition outfit NASA shall trounce Jubilee in South Rift counties of Bomet, Narok, Kajiado and Kericho in August.
Both political divide, Jubilee and NASA, have launched vicious campaigns in the region with recent opinion polls by Ipsos Synovate showing that opposition is gaining ground.
In 2013, President Uhuru Kenyatta dominated the region but his Deputy William Ruto’s strained relationship with Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto seems to be tilting the ground.
“I want to assure NASA that South Rift is intact. We shall beat them squarely because of their ignorance and discrimination.
“If they think it will be a ride on the park, I am sorry. There comes a time when people say enough is enough and this is the moment,” he added.
Ng’eno is joined by Narok West MP Patrick Ntutu, who is vying governorship as back up for Mr Rutto in the vote rich region.
Recently, he was appointed NASA point’s man and has been leading vigorous campaigns over the last two months.
