The National Social Security Fund and the Communications Authority of Kenya has presented a Sh2.5 million cheque to the organizers of the Safaricom SOYA Awards.

Speaking during the presentation that was held at Laico Regency hotel in Nairobi,the acting Director of Public Affairs of the Communications Authority of Kenya(CA),Mr.Christopher Wambua ,noted that they have supported the event for 7 years  and the gala had grown in leaps and bounds thus providing a great avenue to celebrate the wins the sports personalities bring to Kenya as a nation.

‘’We as an organization are always excited to be part of a fete that recognizes each year,the great strides our sportsmen and women make.As part of our CSR pillars,sports provide,a great avenue we use to encourage our athletes from various fields to nurture and grow the talent,”said Mr.Wambua.

The edition of the 14th awards will be in the 3rd week of January ,2018.
