Nyamoko’s observation comes after a number of contractors protested forwarding of over Sh600 million meant for roads to the next financial year (2016-17).

Speaking to this writer on Thursday on the phone, Nyamoko urged the county Executive to be ‘proactive’ and implement projects passed by the assembly to avoid ‘unnecessary’ crisis.

“I do not want to meddle with the operations of the Executive but I am compelled to say that the absorption rate of our resources is wanting,” he said.

“The county assembly is always working hard to ensure good proposals are adopted but the real tussle is in the implementations. The executive should learn to be proactive for the sake of avoiding unnecessary crisis,” he added.

Nyamoko also urged the Executive to work together with the MCAs to ensure good delivery of project implementation to the people of Nyamira.

“This issue concerns me directly and it’s my request to all those involved to ensure MCAs are consulted to ensure good delivery to our people. We cannot have resources that are not used as required. All we want is progress,” he said.
