Nyamoko was blasted by social media users for allegedly procuring a county assembly procurement officer without due process and a source has intimated that the officer was a brother to North Mugirango IEBC returning officer where Nyamoko is expected to contest in 2017.

The story sparked heated debate with social media users also accusing Nyamoko of using the director of procurement to award tenders to nonresidents in return for money meant for 2017 campaigns.

But Nyamoko instead accuses his opponents of defamation and dared them to come with concrete evidence to support the claims.

“I rarely respond to such allegations because they are purely political. My opponents are working day and night to bring me down but I know they do not have any iota of evidence,” he said.

“I am a clean servant and no instance I have ever been engaged in corruption scandals. I am interested to get more details about the scandal,” he added.

He dismissed allegation of skewed employment of Director Procurement and subsequent issuance of tenders to non-residents.

“We have CASB which is responsible for hiring and firing employees. I am only a chair with other members as well. There is also a procedure followed in tendering. People are just working hard to taint my name but I will emerge strong afterwards,” he added.
