After vigorous campaigns in the run to the August elections, Kwale politicians have vowed to bury the hatchet with newly-elected County Assembly Speaker Sammy Ruwa pledging to support Governor Salim Mvurya.Ruwa who served as speaker in the first Kwale County Assembly lost to Mvurya in the county’s gubernatorial race.He came in a distant fourth in the contest that Mvurya overwhelmingly won despite vying on a Jubilee ticket. He, however, vied for speaker after losing in the poll and was re-elected.Speaking on Thursday after Mvurya delivered his inaugural speech to the County Assembly, Ruwa said they are ready to work together with the county boss and that he doesn't expect any friction to exist between the MCAs and the Executive."Mvurya knows his roles and I know mine as a Speaker and we will not interfere with each other," said Ruwa.Governor Mvurya's biggest task will be to win the hearts of the MCAs as majority of them come from the opposition NASA coalition.
