Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka has hit out at Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamata for embarking on a sacking spree of certain employees. The former Bungoma Governor contended that his successor was sacking employees because they supported him in the August 8 gubernatorial contest.''Sacking them for not performing is understandable, but sacking them because they supported me and Jubilee is unacceptable and morally wrong,'' Speaker Lusaka said in Bungoma yesterday.
Lusaka's strong words renew the rivalry between him and Governor Wangamati, escalating the tensions that have defined their relations. The Bungoma gubernatorial contest was closely-fought with Lusaka losing to Wangamati.
