Addressing boda boda and tuk tuk operators yesterday, Kuria said that the special lanes would reduce accidents.

He added that with the lanes, traffic congestion would drastically reduce and make transportation easier.

“We are in consultation with the county government to have special lanes for boda boda operators,” he affirmed.

The MCA said that cases of accidents caused by riders and cyclists are on the rise hence need for them to have their own lanes.

Meanwhile, the MCA wants the county government to beef up security in the ward noting that cases of crime have escalated.

He alleged that cases of muggings and boda boda operators being robbed at night are on the rise.

The MCA stated that it is the responsibility of the government to ensure every citizen together with their property are safe.

He urged boda boda operators to be cautious of the people they transport saying that some of them turn to be criminals.
