Elders from the Maasai Community on Monday conducted special rituals aimed at cleaning the family of departed former politician William Ole Ntimama.
The rituals come ahead of Ntimama's burial slated for Wednesday.
The early morning ritual took place at the deceased home in Motonyi where he will be laid to rest. a special bull was slaughtered for the ritual which holds great traditional significance among the Maasais.
The slaughter of the bull is a sign marking the start of the burial ceremony two days before the actual ceremony.
The ritual is commonly conducted to fallen community elders who have attained 70 years and beyond. The former cabinet Minster died last while resting at his home.
