Witnesses said the deceased was walking on the side of the road when he was hit by a matatu that was speeding along the Kisii – Kilgoris road.

The driver of the matatu sped off after the incident. 

Angry locals blocked the road causing traffic on the road before police officers from Kiogoro administration police station arrived at the scene and cleared the road.

The body of the deceased was taken to Kisii referral hospital mortuary.
