Kiambu county governor William Kabogo has warned youth to be responsible this festive season to avoid casualties which may be as a result of partying in the name of Christmas celebration.
This festive season the number of crimes and drug abuse has rapidly increased thus youth are being apprehended due to involvement of the heinous act.
Kabogo cautioned youth that the security will be vigilant on crimes this festive season and has fired warning to youth to remain indoors and not to stay late night in the streets.
The county boss has risen concerned over insecurity in Kiambu where many businesses have been stolen and people killed in the street in the name of festive season.
He has further cautioned parents to spend money wisely this festive season to avoid the rush of January to pay school fees which would have been spend recklessly this December.
“Parents should not forget that January is near and children will have to go to school thus try to spend your money wisely this festive season,” Kabogo urged.
The governor said that parents misuse money this Christmas and forget that January is around the corner and children will have to return back to school.
He has urged parents and residents not to forget the street and needy children all over the county to support them celebrate the festive season.
“Let’s not forget our street children who are homeless and cannot celebrate the festive season, we should visit some of them in the childrens home to support them,” He requested.
The county government has went ahead to establish street lights in Kiambu county citing the street lights established in Mount Kenya University where it students were complaining of insecurity along General Kago road.
Kabogo was speaking in Gatundu South on Wednesday when he officially opened a modern slaughter house to benefit area residents and Kiambu County.
