National Soccer Team, Harambee Stars received perhaps one of the unlikely defeats in the recent history after going down 2-3 against Central African Republic (CAR) in a friendly match played in Marrakech, Morocco on Tuesday evening.
CAR was the first to score in the 15th minute before Kenya equalized in the 16th minute. The first half ended with both teams tied at 1-1.
In the second half, CAR scored two goals in the 63rd and 72nd minute respectively to put the match beyond Harambee Stars under interim Coach Stanly Okumbi. But Okumbi's boys pulled up one goal in the 89th minute to reduce the scoreline.
Stars missed the services of Captain Victor Wanyama who did not feature in the match.
Wanyama who plays for English side Tottenham Hotspur scored a goal in Kenya’s 2-2 draw against Comoros over the weekend.
