High cost of living, corruption and unemployment currently rank among top problems facing Kenyans, results of a survey have shown.
According to the survey, 34 percent of those polled pointed at inflation as the most biting problem facing majority Kenyans.
Representatively, it means close to 15 million of Kenyans today are facing a difficult time accruing from inflation.
The survey conducted between September 23 and October 11, also found out that 17 percent of Kenyans feel corruption is the main challenge dragging the country's development.
Graft is currently a topical issue following the recent revelation that taxpayers had lost Sh5.3 billion through dubious transactions at the Health Ministry.
Besides, 10 percent of those polled acknowledged that unemployment was still a challenge in the country despite President Uhuru Kenyatta consistent reminder that his government would provide jobs to youth.
The poll results were compiled after the survey was conducted among 1,739 respondents out of the 2,000 chosen for the study by Twaweza East Africa through 'Sauti za Wananchi'.
'Sauti za Wananchi' is an initiative that uses mobile phones to collect information from a nationally representative sample of citizens.
